Stimson Bridge Replacement Project - Waterboro & Limerick, ME

Wyman & Simpson was awarded the Stimson Bridge Replacement Project by MaineDOT in June of 2016. The bridge is located on Route 5, Sokokis Trail over Little Ossipee River, between the towns of Waterboro and Limerick. It required construction of a temporary bridge and detour before demolition of the existing bridge. The temporary detour was opened in August of 2016 and demolition of the existing bridge commenced. The new bridge is well underway, with both abutments founded on rock socketed H-Pile and the single Pier founded directly on ledge complete. Structural Steel is scheduled to be erected by the end of January 2017.

Maple St. Superstructure Replacement - Farmingdale, ME

Wyman & Simpson closed the Maple St. bridge over the Maine Turnpike in June of 2016 for demolition and replacement of the existing superstructure. In less than 6 months the existing superstructure was removed and the new one was completed and open to traffic on November 18th.

Androscoggin River Bridge Deck Replacement - Bethel, ME

Wyman and Simpson was awarded the Deck Replacement located on Route 2/5/26, Mayville Rd., over the Androscoggin River in December of 2015. Crews mobilized in April of 2016 for phased demolition and construction of the new bridge deck and painting of the existing beams. The job was completed in November of 2016.

Small Rd. Superstructure Replacement - Litchfield, ME

Wyman & Simpson closed the Small Rd. bridge over the Maine Turnpike in June of 2016 for demolition and replacement of the existing superstructure. In less than 6 months the existing superstructure was removed and the new one was completed and open to traffic on November 18th.

Bar Mills Bridge Replacement

The newly constructed Bar Mills Bridge was opened to traffic on November 8th of 2016 after a 120 shutdown of the existing bridge. Crews continue to work diligently this winter to cut and remove the existing trusses and demo the existing substructure.
