Wyman and Simpson has recently reached another major milestone at the New Gloucester Toll Plaza project. After completing Phase 1 early and receiving a bonus for our efforts, the majority of work was to take place after Labor Day to avoid impacts to the traveling public. With the guidance of Superintendent Rob Herbert, our crews and subcontractors installed nearly a mile of precast concrete median barrier, two space frame structures to support new tolling equipment, a new drainage system, new pavement structure and extensive electrical work ahead of schedule and received another bonus for early completion. This project is the first of its kind in Maine and will allow Turnpike patrons to flow through the plaza at full speed.
